The big five-oh
The in-laws threw me a surprise birthday dinner for my 50th at the Dolar Shop hotpot restaurant. Here are a few photos. Johnny's getting older. ;-)

You look just like Dad did at 50 which would be the year I graduated from MHS. I think we need to dig out the slides and make some comparisions!!
Happy birthday John! I wish I could have been there to enjoy some delicious Dolar Shop with you. I do love that restaurant, so many different sauces to choose from. I returned to the East coast two days ago and am feeling the full brunt of reverse culture shock. I'd have to say this is one of the hardest things I've done coming back to the East coast, alone, jet-lagged, and seriously missing Shanghai. I strongly advise just staying there! Ugh, Ran and I both know its best for us to come back here and start our careers, and perhaps a family in a couple years. Knowing that just doesn't help at 4:00am here in Ct.! What happened to all the people? We'll miss meeting with you two and we'll certainly be watching your blog.
